2010 Lobby Day Information
Thank you for registering for Voter-Owned Elections Lobby Day on June 22!

With two major reform bills on the verge of passing this legislative session, your participation is especially crucial right now. Bit by bit, you’re helping us create a system of elections where voters (not special interests) hold the reins of power in our democracy.

As Lobby Day approaches, please let us know if you have any questions.

Coffee and rolling orientations will take place from 9am-11am in the Legislative Auditorium (third floor of Legislative Building). We'll be conducting individualized briefings every half hour and organizing groups for legislative meetings. The Auditorium will also serve as a central location for information and questions.

Keynote. Fix Congress First Founder Larry Lessig will be this year’s keynote Lobby Day speaker. Lessig is a Professor of Law at Harvard and a frequent national commentator on the growing influence of special interests in our political system. He is currently the Director of Harvard's Edward J. Safra Foundation Center for Ethics where he studies institutional corruption. Check out his recent article, 'How to Get Our Democracy Back,' published in the Nation, or view a selection of his compelling and provocative power point presentations (seriously, you'll be stunned). Lessig will give his Lobby Day address at 11am in the General Assembly's Legislative Auditorium (third floor of Legislative Building).

Lunch. A free lunch will be provided to all lobby participants. Lunch will be served outside of the Legislative Auditorium from 12-1pm.

Directions. All programming will take place in the Legislative Auditorium, located on the third floor of the Legislative Building (16 W. Jones St. Raleigh, NC 27601.
